Six Central Universities in India to Offer Admissions Twice a Year!
The Union Ministry of Education has declared that the six central universities in India will offer admissions twice a year soon. This is beneficial for students to take admission in both July-August and January-February sessions. Universities that are accepting this policy are listed below. This update is shared by the minister of state education, Sukanta Majumdar. This message was conveyed in response to the query in Rajya Sabha. This biannual admission system has got approval from UGC also known as the University Grants Commission and it’s approved for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) Moreover, participation in this program is optional and universities can choose to offer admissions twice a year for preparation and capacity to manage workloads. Therefore, Institutions must be prepared to manage activities of academic sessions and examinations and administrative processes affected by biannual intakes. The motto behind this policy is to offer better flexibility for students and reduce waiting times for admissions. This policy has its own challenges and benefits, challenges such as managing infrastructure and designing academic calendars.
