CREDAI Pune Metro introduces a free First Aid and CPR Training Program for Pune’s Real Estate sector
On February 17th, 2024, in Pune, J P Shroff, Chairman of the Kushal Initiative of CREDAI, spoke about the importance of construction workers in our society and how they form the backbone of the real estate sector. He mentioned that organizations like CREDAI Pune Metro are committed to ensuring the safety of these workers.
At the CREDAI Pune Metro’s Auditorium in Nucleus Mall, Camp, a free First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Program was launched. Many important people attended, including Sapna Rathi, Convenor of the Labour Welfare Committee, Dr. Devendra Bhosale from AB Clinic, Dr. D K Abhyankar, Kumar Ramachandran, Urmila Julka, and Samir Parkhi.
Dr. Bhosale stressed the importance of safety on construction sites and having the right tools and kits for first aid. They demonstrated techniques for dealing with electric shocks, injuries, bleeding, accidents, and CPR.
J P Shroff believed that the training program was designed to help workers handle potential hazards and emergencies effectively. He hoped that by equipping them with these skills, they could respond better in real-life situations. Sapna Rathi mentioned that it was the first time CREDAI had taken such an initiative for the welfare of construction workers. They aimed to train at least 5000 workers in the future.
CREDAI Pune Metro urged member developers to enroll their staff in the training program to create a safer work environment. Rashmi Lodha, a member of the Labour Welfare Committee, coordinated the program.
